Jean Stubbs presented on the documentary project at a two-day Platform for Dialogue on Inequalities and Environment in Latin America and the Caribbean, hosted by the Maria de Sybylla Merian Centre for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS), at the University of Costa Rica, 4-5 November 2019. CALAS was established in 2017 by four German universities and four Latin American universities under the auspices of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to advance research programmes in the Humanities and the Social Sciences. The main Latin American counterpart is the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and, in addition to the University of Costa Rica, there are CALAS centers in FLACSO, Ecuador, and the University of San Martín, Argentina. The four German universities are: Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, Leibniz University Hanover, Bielefeld University, and University of Kassel. Current research (2017-2020), under the umbrella “Visions of peace: Transitions Between Violence and Peace in Latin America” is on “Coping with Crises: Transdisciplinary Perspectives from Latin America”.
